FORCED CONVECTION HEAT LOSSES- WITH WIND VELOCITY

 FORCED CONVECTION HEAT LOSSES

You can calculate heat loss by convection when wind speed is greater than 3.0 m/sec with following input data:

1. Radiating body Temperature
2. Ambient Temperature
3. Wind Speed
4. Radiating Body Diameter

you can also calculate following calculation by clicking them below:

Calculate Forced Convection Heat Losses
When wind speed is > 3 m/sec
Input Data:
1 Radiating Body Temperature in K T
2 Ambient temperature in K t
3 Wind Speed in m/sec v
4 Radiating Body Diameter in m D
Formula:
Convection Heat Losses in kcal/hr/m2
28.03 * ( ( T + t ) / 2 )^-0.351 * v^0.805 * D^-0.195 * ( T - t )
Calculation
Radiating Body Temperature in K 525
Ambient Temperature in K 302
Wind Speed in m/sec 5
Radiating Body Diameter in m 4.15
28.03 * ( ( 525 + 302 ) / 2 )^-0.351 * 5^0.805 * 4.15^-0.195 * ( 525 - 302 )
2088 Kcal/hr/m2
